After some discussion with the guards of Bubble City, Friedrich and Tendon (disguised as an old man with a robe borrowed from Friedrich) enter the colony again.

Tendon and Friedrich investigate technology.

Tendon carefully reveals who he is to the Bubble City community. Tendon joins the Intergalactic Brotherhood of Peace, to which Friedrich belonged before, to help manage problems and conflicts from Bubble City.

Friedrich has a vision of the future which shows that Tendon will jeopardize with his presence the conflict resolution between the tendon race and the boar race in their upcoming summit.

Friedrich tells Tendon. Tendon responds to Friedrich's concern, "the boar race will recognize me no matter what form I take. They have that ability as much as I do."

Tendon decides to return to the Limitlands.

Both return to their previous lives to reflect on the changes in thinking and planning they have undergone. They train for the future.
